Splatter Murmurations

2012 - PRESENT

A murmuration is a natural phenomena created by a flock of Starlings. Moving as one interconnected unit, the Starlings perform mesmerizing, shape-shifting dances.

The flock formations in my paintings are made by tapping a paint brush above the canvas to build up layers of controlled splatter. The organic shapes that evolve often form intuitively. Through these works, I not only celebrate the visual poetry of movement and form, but also invite viewers to experience a shared moment of awe—a reminder that beauty often lies in the delicate interplay of the individual and the collective.
